Talia Perry is the Digital Projects & Publishing Specialist at the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries. In her role, Talia manages the Library Publishing Service, collaborates with the CMU Press team to produce digital products, and generally coordinates and supports the production of diverse digital projects. She provides workshops and consultations on open access journals, student publishing, digital humanities, and related topics.
Talia holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MA in Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture from Bard Graduate Center (New York, NY). Her research explores the ways in which technological and material change has reshaped social experience: She has most recently presented papers about the visibility of labor in early submarine and subterranean photography, the poetics and economics of Parisian firewood, and the language of Tudor chimney stacks.
