A recent article written by researchers from the University Libraries of Carnegie Mellon University in conjunction with researchers from the University Libraries of the University of Colorado Boulder has been chosen for the 2023 American Society for Engineering Education, Engineering Libraries Division Best Paper Award.
The article “Understanding Research Data Practices of Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Students” published in the journal Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship and was written by Julie (Xiaoju) Chen, Jessica G. Benner, Matthew R. Marsteller and Sarah Young of Carnegie Mellon with Emily Dommermuth, Rebecca Kuglitsch, Abbey B. Lewis and Katherine Mika (now with Harvard University) of the University of Colorado Boulder. Chen and Dommermuth were the lead authors of the work. The article described qualitative research done analyzing semi-structured interviews of civil and environmental engineering graduate students that explored their research data practices.
