Melanie Gainey and Emma Slayton held a Practice Session at the Annual Conference for Higher Education Pedagogy on February 11th. Their session was called "Perspectives on Teaching with Data in the Social Sciences" and focused on the work in their Ithaka S+R report.
Sarah Young is a co-author with collaborators at various institutions on two new journal articles about libraries, librarians and evidence synthesis in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. One is entitled "Leveraging micro-grants to support capacity-building workshops in low- and middle-income countries for meeting the Sustainable Development Goals" in the Journal of the Medical Library Association and the other "Making the case for librarian expertise to support evidence synthesis for the Sustainable Development Goals" in Research Synthesis Methods.
Sarah Young co-organized and co-presented on a panel at the Evidence Synthesis & Meta-Analysis in R Conference in February. The panel was entitled "Building an evidence ecosystem for tool design" and focused on multi-stakeholder collaboration in the development of open source tools for evidence synthesis.
