High Tea, an annual springtime event presented by SEI Research Service and the University Libraries, was presented virtually for the first time on June 19, 2020. This year's program, 'High Tea 2020: CMU Atlas of AI,' featured speakers from the University Libraries and the SEI discussing ways to connect researchers on artificial intelligence across campus.
In the first half of the program, SEI presenters Carol J. Smith, Ritwik Gupta, Jay Palat, and Hollen Barmer spoke about how the ETC Artificial Intelligence project will make it easier for SEI and CMU researchers to find others doing work in AI and showcase the benefits of partnering with the SEI on AI projects.
The second half of the program featured a panel discussion exploring how KiltHub, CMU's research repository and collaboration platform, can further the goals of ETC's AI project. Huajin Wang, librarian/program director for open science and data collaborations acted as moderator for panelists from the University Libraries, including David Scherer, scholarly communications and research curation consultant, librarian; and Katie Behrman, KiltHub institutional repository specialist.
