In remembrance of CMU alumnus and Night of the Living Dead director George A. Romero, who passed away this summer, Carnegie Mellon University Libraries presents Legacy of the Dead: A Tribute to George A. Romero. Created by library faculty and staff, Legacy of the Dead celebrates the life and career of a cinema maverick who defied convention and inspired an entire subgenre within horror literature and media. Activities include a multipart blog series beginning Monday, October 23rd, with each post offering a critical and historical analysis of his films and their place in the scholarly community. An exhibition of film memorabilia, Legacy of the Dead: An Exhibition, donated by CMU School of Drama Professor Emeritus and Romero collaborator Barbara Anderson, will be on view in Hunt Library beginning October 25, 2017 as well. Stay scared!
